About Tony and Sagamore Fence & Deck
Tony Perez is the owner and president of Sagamore Fence & Deck, the Georgetown, Texas fence and deck company he founded in 2007. A proud Austin native, Tony earned a business degree and started his career in global supply chain and logistics, where he earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Before starting Sagamore, he managed one of the largest fence companies in Central Texas, overseeing 40 subcontractor teams and 60 to 80 fence and deck projects a day.
Today, Tony and the Sagamore team build fences, decks and outdoor structures for homeowners, businesses and municipal clients across the Austin area, working from the company’s headquarters at 6550 FM 1105 in Georgetown. When he isn’t on a job site, you’ll usually find him in his home wood shop.
Industry Leadership
Active in the Texas and National Fence Industry
Tony is active in the fence industry at the state and national level, helping other contractors learn and grow.
- Texas Fence Association: Education Chair and a member of the board of directors (see the TFA Officers & Directors page), and a former TFA Vice President.
- American Fence Association: a member of the AFA and a frequent speaker at AFA events.
- Hispanic Fence Professionals: a member of the AFA’s Hispanic Fence Professionals signature interest group, and a panelist on the group’s panel at FenceTech 2025.
- FenceTech: presented two Spanish-language sessions at FenceTech 2026 and is scheduled to speak at FenceTech 2027.
- AFA certification: in September 2026, Sagamore hosted an AFA certification testing event at its Georgetown headquarters.
