The Fence Company Bee Cave TX Families Hire for Quiet, Lasting Work

Bee Cave homes tend to be built into the land: live oaks and cedar elms, limestone outcrops, long driveways and lots that fall away toward Lake Travis. The best fence or deck here doesn’t call attention to itself. It frames the property, keeps the dogs in and the deer out, and still looks right twenty years from now.

That takes a crew that plans before it digs. We’ve been building fences and decks in Central Texas since 2007 (officially incorporated in 2013): nearly 20 years, nearly 10,000 clients and more than 18,000 projects, and the same care goes into every Bee Cave lot. Our crews are fully insured, we’re a TrexPro® builder on trex.com, and your project is covered by our 1-year warranty on labor and workmanship. We look up which rules apply to your address, City of Bee Cave, HOA or both, before the design is drawn, and we take care of the city application.

Most Bee Cave work we’re asked about falls into a few families: ornamental iron set between limestone columns, driveway and walk gates, cedar privacy fences with clean trim, pool enclosures, Trex and other composite decks, and pergolas for shade on a west-facing patio. Where the ground rolls, we use rackable iron panels so the fence follows the slope instead of stair-stepping, and we set posts clear of the root zones of the oaks you want to keep.

Bee Cave Fence & Deck FAQs

Do I need a permit to build a fence in Bee Cave?

Yes, inside city limits. The City of Bee Cave’s Unified Development Code, Section 5.1.2 says a permit must be obtained from the city before any fence or screening wall is built, and the city’s building permits page lists fences over 7 feet tall. Your HOA may have its own approval process too. We confirm what your lot needs and handle the paperwork.

Under Bee Cave UDC Section 5.1.2, fences or walls in a required front yard can be no taller than 4 feet, and opaque front-yard fences are prohibited unless the code allows an exception. Rear and side-yard fences can be up to 8 feet, with no barbed wire or electrification. Agricultural (AG) and P districts are treated differently.

Often, yes. The city’s building permits page lists decks larger than 200 square feet and/or more than 30 inches above grade, and retaining walls taller than 4 feet. On a sloped Bee Cave lot, many raised decks meet that threshold, so we plan the permit into the schedule from the start.

Yes. We’re listed as a TrexPro® builder on trex.com. On a hillside we design the framing and footings for the slope first, then choose railing, often slim metal or cable, that keeps the view clear.

All of them, including Falconhead, Spanish Oaks, Lake Pointe, Belvedere, and homes off Hamilton Pool Road, Highway 71 and RR 620 near the Hill Country Galleria. Some addresses fall under City of Bee Cave rules and others under Travis County or a neighboring city, plus an HOA, and we design to whichever applies.

Yes. We build ornamental iron fences between limestone columns, matching driveway and walk gates, and install gate operators. We plan the columns and hinges for the grade so the gates swing true on a sloped drive.
