Found Us on Trex.com? Here's What Working With Your TrexPro® Builder Looks Like
You picked Trex because you’re done with sanding, staining and sealing a wood deck that grays and splinters in the Texas sun. Now come the harder questions. Six decking lines, dozens of colors, a wall of railing choices, and a contractor you have to trust with your backyard. Pick the wrong line and you overpay or end up with boards that run hot in full sun. Pick the wrong builder and the framing underneath fails long before the boards do.
That’s where we come in. Sagamore Fence & Deck is a TrexPro® builder listed on trex.com, and we install every Trex line. We’ve been building fences and decks in Central Texas since 2007 (officially incorporated in 2013): nearly 20 years, nearly 10,000 clients and more than 18,000 projects. We’re based at 6550 FM 1105 in Georgetown, our crews are fully insured, and we handle permits and HOA submittals for you.
We’ll help you compare Trex decking lines side by side, match a railing to your view, and design a deck that fits how you live, from a simple ground-level platform to a multi-level deck with stairs, a pergola and cable railing. Want to see how Trex stacks up against wood first? Read our composite vs. wood deck guide.

Arthur came out, assessed the situation, and walked us through our options. My husband and I are at a point where staining and sealing a wood deck just isn't something we want to spend our time doing anymore. Arthur explained the benefits of Trex decking, and it turned out to be the perfect fit for our lifestyle while still staying within our budget.

Trex Deck FAQs
Is Sagamore Fence & Deck a TrexPro® builder?
Yes. Search for us on trex.com and you’ll see Sagamore Fence and Deck listed as a TrexPro® builder in Georgetown. We install all Trex decking and railing lines, plus Trex Pergola and Trex fencing.
Which Trex decking line is right for me?
It comes down to look, heat and budget. Trex Enhance® is the entry line, Trex Select® is the mid-range line, Trex Transcend® and Transcend® Lineage® are the premium lines, and Trex Signature® is the luxury line. We bring samples to your free estimate so you can compare them in person. Trex’s decking lineup lists each line’s features.
What warranty comes with a Trex deck?
Trex provides the manufacturer warranties. Trex decking carries 25- to 50-year limited residential warranties depending on the line (Enhance 25, Select 35, Transcend, Lineage, Signature and Refuge 50), railing carries 15 to 50 years, Trex Pergola 25 years, and Trex fencing 25 years. Full terms and online registration are on the Trex warranty page.
Does Trex decking get hot in the Texas sun?
All decking gets hot in direct Texas sun, especially darker colors. Trex offers heat-mitigating boards in Transcend® Lineage® and select Enhance® colors, and says its SunComfortable™ technology reduced heat buildup by up to 35°F compared with its original boards in lab testing. Lighter colors and shade help too, and we’ll point out the cooler options at your estimate.
Is a Trex deck worth it compared with wood?
Wood usually costs less up front, but it needs regular staining and sealing. Trex doesn’t need sanding, staining or sealing, and Trex says its composite boards are made with 95% recycled plastic film and reclaimed sawdust. Our composite vs. wood guide walks through the trade-offs.
How long does it take to build a Trex deck?
Most Trex decks take about 1–2 weeks once materials and any permits are in place. Larger multi-level decks, curves or added pergolas can take longer, and your written quote will give you a timeline.
